Route in Strava and Komoot
Load the GPX into Strava or Komoot and send it to your phone or watch.
A GPX file is not a picture – you don't double-click it, you load it into an app that guides you along it.
Strava
- On the Strava website open Maps → My Routes → Create Route.
- Choose Import GPX and pick the downloaded file.
- Save the route. On your phone it shows up under Maps → Saved, and you can send it to a connected watch too.
Komoot
- On the Komoot website click Plan → Import GPX file.
- Komoot loads the route as a tour. Save it.
- Start it in the app with voice navigation, or send it to your watch (Garmin, Wahoo, Suunto…).
Heads up: Komoot may "improve" the route along its own paths when importing. If it offers to re-plan, decline – it would break the shape.
After the run
Upload the activity as usual. The map shows the finished picture – now just share it.
Your first routes are free. No card needed.
